Up to 213 m deep, the loch contains the largest volume of fresh water of any lake in the British Isles. Famous worldwide for its mysterious inhabitant, the Loch Ness Monster, it is also ideal for cruising and sailing.

On the loch banks, you will visit the ruins of Urquhart Castle, one of the largest castles in Scotland which fell into decay after 1689 and was blown up in 1692 to prevent it being occupied by Jacobites. Continue your journey through the valley of Glencoe, setting of the infamous “Massacre of Glencoe”. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 - Oban (Tour to Isle of Mull – Iona Abbey)

Depart Oban for the Isles of Mull and Iona. Mull is a wildly beautiful place. It boasts attractive villages and mountains, and there are castles to visit for those wanting a more relaxing time. The largest settlement on Mull is Tobermory, originally founded as a fishing station. It lies on the east coast towards the northern end of the island. Today it is a favorite tourist halt, its many colored buildings making for an attractive seaside picture. In recent times Tobermory has become the location for the filming of the BBC children's series Balamory.

You will cross the island to arrive at Fionnphort, where you will take the passenger ferry to the small and tranquil island of Iona. St Columba first arrived on Iona in 563 with 12 followers and founded the Christian abbey whose graveyard became the burial place of Scottish kings and chiefs for centuries to come. You will visit Iona Abbey.

Late afternoon, you will take the ferry back to the mainland. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 - Oban - Loch Lomond – Argyll - Glasgow

Our journey to Glasgow via the beautiful region of Argyll. En-route you will stop at Loch Lomond, the largest stretch of inland water in Britain, and framed by lovely mountain scenery. The landscape of this area has played a significant part in the history and literature of Scotland. It was the inspiration and setting for Sir Walter Scott’s major work, “The Lady of the Lake”, inspiring the first tourists to venture to Highland Scotland. Enjoy a 1-hour cruise on Loch Lomond.

After your arrival in Glasgow, you will enjoy a panoramic tour of Scotland’s largest city. Glasgow is considered one of Europe’s most exciting and beautiful destinations combining the energy and sophistication of any great international city.
